We provide our clients clear and concise Rentable Area Surveys in accordance with the latest Method of Measurement Guidelines set out by the Property Council and Property Institutes of New Zealand.
Commercial Offices
PCNZ Method 1 and 2 :
For commercial properties, to calculate the tenancy areas in office buildings and business parks. Method 1 can be applied for entire premises, or full floor measurements, while Method 2 applies to floor plates where multiple tenancies share common services.
Retail Precincts
PCNZ Method 3 :
For retail sites such as Shopping Centres, strip shops, and retail areas that form part of commercial office complexes. Method 3 also has special clauses that apply to fast food outlets, service stations, super markets and more.
Industrial Warehouses
PCNZ Method 4 :
For buildings which are used for industrial purposes, warehousing, storage or similar. Any bulk format, free standing supermarket, fast food outlet or service station is measured to the same method (although they are predominantly under Method 3).
Residential
Stand-Alone, Apartments, and more :
The Residential Method of Measurement - 2018, is intended to apply to all types of residential property in New Zealand. This includes single dwellings, semi-detached dwellings, town houses and apartments.
